IN THE FINAL INSTALMENT of this interview Gregor reveals what it feels like to see academy players reach the first team, what the feeling is like around the Alan Higgs Centre within the staff and the advantages of coaching experience at a younger age.

Once again I would like to extend my gratitude to all the staff at CCFC for being welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Catch up on the interview with part one, two, three and four.

THIS WEEK, Gregor talks about the methods that are used to develop young talent at the Alan Higgs. Also, he explains how the academy players are selected to train and play with the senior team.

Check out part one, two and three.

GREGOR CHATS about the problems big investment can have in the development of a healthy academy, the promise of Jordan Clarke and what the scouts look for in talented young footballers.

Check out the first and second part of this interview to hear the whole story.

TIME for the second part of my Gregor Rioch Interview. Here Gregor dives deeper into the development of academy players and the techniques they use to ready a player for the first team.

The first part of the interview can be found here.

ATER FIRING OFF A COUPLE OF EMAILS, Academy Director Gregor Rioch kindly agreed to participate in what I anticipated would be a brief discussion where I asked some standard questions about players, history and general life for our youngest.

What actually occurred was an in depth, genuine interview in which Gregor came across as not only deeply passionate about the development of young talent at the Alan Higgs, but refreshingly professional about caring for the footballers barely out of (or still attending) school - and the pressures which come with the territory.

THE LEICESTER-COVENTRY rivalry is a strange one.

Separated by less than 30 miles (and with no regular claret and blue battles foreseeable in the near future), our East Midlands neighbours can proudly boast to be our number one modern Sky Blue enemy.

With the risk of sounding blasphemous, how much of our hostility is based on jealousy rather than classic enmity? Leicester get larger gates. Fact. I won't try and explain the details between support and/or town sizes etc because there's a brilliant article in Twist n' Shout that deals with the same subject.

YOU don't want to mess with Ben Turner.

Not that his disciplinary record is daunting - Turner is yet to earn one caution this season in all competitions.

Add to this Turner's record of only two yellow cards during his effort last season, he cannot be defined as a 'tackle now, repercussions later' centre-half...
