The bookies got it right on Coventry City's relegation

FELLOW blogger TJL says were the Sky Blues doomed from the start ?
He was referring to the bookmakers prediction that the City would get relegated and they got it spot on.

It will be interesting to see what they think the Sky Blues chances are in the up and coming season? Will they make us favourites to get straight back up or will they play it safe and reckon we may struggle ?

But until we get the transfer embargo lifted and keep hold of our better players I wouldn't be surprised to see us favourites to drop even further down the table.

We obviously need our talisman and Mr dependable Richard Keogh to stay but the signs don't look that promising as a few teams are sniffing about and as we are totally skint and a selling club it won't be a shock to see him depart to pastures new.

At the moment all talk is going on behind the scenes and in the boardroom and stories in the Telegraph don't fill us with confidence do they ?

I've reached the point now where I don't bother reading the stories as it's as enjoyable as banging your head against a brick wall.

One day you read an uplifting article and the next day your brought back down again it's as if nobody really knows what the hell is going on anymore.

But all us fans can do is hope and pray that we have a football ground and a set of players next season because the bookies will be watching what's happening at our club before giving their prediction on our chances.

I like a flutter myself now and again but never bet on the Sky Blues as they have let me down too many times but if we can keep hold of some of our decent players and bring some quality in I may break the habit of a lifetime and have a few quid on them to finish near the top but. who knows what can happen in the next few months ?

Keep up to date
