Will Millwall break Coventry City fans hearts tonight ?
MILLWALL come to the Ricoh tonight knowing they are safe for another season in the Championship while the Sky Blues need the win to have any chance at staying up.
Our rivals are Bristol City who are at home to West Ham United so the nerves will be jangling no doubt this evening and all eyes will be fixed on the scoreboard at half time and the end of the matches.
We all know what a strange division the Championship is when anyone can beat anyone on the day and would we all be that shocked to see Bristol causing an upset while we implode once again ?
Of course we don't want that happen but it's best when you watch football week in and week out in this up and down division to prepare yourself for strange results so anything could happen tonight.
Will Millwall take it easy and play like a pre season side ?Or will they be hard hearted and go all out for the three points?
At this stage of the campaign players will be either thinking about lying on a beach somewhere hot or about contracts or putting themselves in the shop window,in other words you just can't get into a footballers brain can you ?
I think they will be treating it as they would any other match so the City need to be ready for that and be prepared for a tough game but Andy Thorn no doubt would have told his players that by now.
If we win tonight and a big emphasis on if, we then have our final home game on Saturday versus Doncaster who are already relegated but Bristol entertain Barnsley who are a really poor side and on a bad run so that gives me the collywobbles.
But we are Coventry City fans with strong nerves and thick skins and it's not all new to us is it ? So why then do I feel sick and edgy then ?
So it's up to the Ricoh tonight for ninety odd minutes of stress and tension I bet people who dislike football think we are all mad and in need of therapy.
Quick nurse another Coventry City supporter is in need of medication !
