A miracle is needed to keep Coventry City in the Championship
TWO defeats in less than a week has left the Sky Blues firmly fixed in bottom position and as we can't get any wins on the road and throwing away precious points at home it looks like the only way is down for the City.
We just have to accept reality that we can't play for a whole match and we can blame bad luck and naff referee decisions until the cows come home but the tables don't lie and we deserve to be where we are because we aren't very good.
Playing well for an hour won't win you football games unless the opposition is having a bad day and missing chances but they seldom are against us are they ?
The referee was poor on Saturday but so was our defending at times too and to switch off again with less than a minute remaining isn't just pathetic it is bordering on madness seeing they keep on doing it so often.
Watching from the stands with the clock ticking away when Ipswich launched their final attack I just knew that something would happen it's as if the script was written beforehand and lo and behold bang the winner was put firmly in the back of the net.
So where do the City go from here ? Reading away then Leeds at home has me all jittery and wobbly even before a ball is kicked as how on earth can we get anything from those tough games when your waiting for us to give away late goals again.
After the Ipswich match a fair few fans were talking about how to get to the likes of Yeovil and Tranmere next season how's that for facing up to reality !
