Coventry City fans just have to keep on believing

AS the saying goes: It's not over till the fat lady sings, and I haven't heard her just yet that must mean the Sky Blues are still in with a chance of staying up.

Two wins and a narrow defeat shows the players are still fighting and giving it there all and the fans at the Brighton game were also getting behind the team too so all is not lost as yet.

Will the Southampton cup-tie be a break from the Championship and a chance to progress in the competition or will it be a hindrance as the players want to keep the momentum going in the league ?

As a lover of the F.A.Cup I want the City to win every cup game and get to the final at Wembley and lift the trophy just like we did in 87 but reality tells me don't be silly and keep taking the tablets.

But we've seen what a big draw can bring to the club a full house at the Ricoh against mighty Chelsea so who knows what the next round could bring if we beat the Saints on Saturday ?

But our main focus has to be our fight for survival in the Championship because even if we played the likes of Arsenal or both Manchester clubs that would mean nothing if we continued to stay at the bottom would it ?

So it would be good to do well in the Cup and go on a long run in it but at the end of the day we have to be realistic we ain't going to win it so let's concentrate on the real bread and butter of the league.

Big cup ties may well bring the part time fair weather fan back for one match then to vanish again which isn't what we need at the moment is it so let's just stick with our hardcore fans and carry on cheering them on to another season in the Championship.
