Coventry City's Director of Football's Ego
Saturday's defeat against Hull was overshadowed by the appearance of the new Director of Football's on the bench.
Why o why was he there?
Is he on some kind of ego trip?
If he had put £30 Million into the club personally, or owned it then fine, he can do what he wants. But as I understand it, he has no financial involvement and is just an employee like Andy Thorn.
I don't recall any of our previous Directors of Football taking a seat on the bench?
Andy Thorn's post match comments that he effectively does what he is told spoke volumes for what he thought of the situation. Indeed Ken's presence seemed to under mind Andy Thorn's position.
Is this just a further example of this man's ego?
With the club struggling for funds to sign players or even loans, the then Chairman sanctions spending tens of thousands of pounds to take the squad to Portugal. The place selected just happens to be next to his villa and enabled him to wander around the training ground in his personalised training kit.
If the club was not a laughing stock of the Championship before...it is now!
