Can Coventry City stay in the Championship or are they doomed ?
AS the football world is still in shock at the dreadful news at the weekend of the death of Gary Speed it seems that our problems here at Coventry City pale into insignificance as to how the poor family of Gary Speed are feeling right now.
But as in life football carries on with all it's ups and downs and twists and turns so as sad and upsetting the news is now I guess you just have to continue on and talk and concentrate on all things relating to our club.
And as the Sky Blues keep on searching for some wins it doesn't look too good for our chances at staying in this tough and unforgiving division unless we can hit a winning run taking us into the new year.
Reading T.J.L's blog yesterday he always looks on the bright side which is so refreshing seeing most fans can't see us getting out of our current situation.
The new lad Gardner from Villa looks like class but we need him till the end of the season not a measly four weeks when no doubt he'll head on back to Villa with us City fans once again watching another decent player leaving us again as if we haven't had enough of that.
Andy Thorn keeps on saying the same old things and the players also say if only we did this or did that but time waits for no man the saying goes, so all the positive talk has to be converted into points now or it will be too late.
We could be bottom of the table after tonight's matches as Doncaster play Millwall and that will a first for us I reckon as I don't think we have been rock bottom before ?
We got to Pompey on Saturday a ground where we won last season but we had Westwood,Gunnarsson, and King, playing that night so a win this weekend without those three key players would be a massive boost all round .
So it's a nerve jangling run up to the Christmas games with finger nails bitten and chewed no doubt so let's hope we can be as cheerily optimistic as T.J.L. and get away from our current gloomy position.

Thorny has to stand down and promote Carsley to the ist team
I think you are right Colin because as likeable a bloke Andy is we can't go on like this as it's plain to see it's just not happening is it ? Two wins all season and only one in the last nine is relegation form, and that's why we are at the bottom.
The big question is though who will take his place ?Carsley would be a big gamble and who would relish coming here too ?
Whatever happens had better be sorted soon as time is ticking fast and the drop edges nearer !
Whoveer wrote this, you know how to make a good article.
