It could be a chilly Autumn ahead for Coventry City
LOOKING at the fixture list I have to admit I got a touch of anxiety come upon me when I saw who we play in the month of November as it's Southampton,West Ham,Brighton,Cardiff City.
Preceded by a trip to the Lion's Den at Millwall so that is one hell of a group of matches to play and on current form other than Millwall you have to say those mentioned will be at the top at the end of this campaign.
We do though have three of those at home but the City are struggling to win at the Ricoh so the visitors will fancy picking up three points to take back home I should imagine.
But we've got this months games to worry about before then starting with fellow strugglers Forest on Saturday who aren't exactly in a good way as they are without a manager at this moment but as we know that's when some clubs seem to get strength and do okay.
So the Sky Blues really do need to start winning some games to get some confidence as well as much needed points because if we don't we could be in really serious trouble.
We have to bring up loans again even though it's becoming tedious but we desperately need two or three as soon as possible to bolster the squad.
In this weeks excellent Football League paper which covers everything outside the Premier League it has an article on Michael Kightly the Wolves winger and it says he's linked with a loan move to us.
But Mick McCarthy wants it to be a short loan just to get his fitness up as he's been out with a long term knee problem, which surely wouldn't be of benefit to the City as we want long term loans.
We want and need strong fit players to come here and even though Kightly is a quality player when fit what's the point in risking him if he could break down again ?
But football is full of risk I guess it throws up so many twists and turns but all us City fans want is for our team to start moving up the table because teams are starting to hit some form now.
