Coventry City - The Truth would be nice...for a change
IT seems that SISU have a very low opinion of those who turn up week in week out. The list of what they say they will deliver and then don't is as long as your arm.
• Talks with the Council
• Announcing MK was staying
• Announcing a summer transfer budget as large as the previous season
Now it seems the Premiership loans that were mentioned when Ben Turner left, won't be happening either.
Yes we know funds are limited but if you can't deliver then why make the statement in the first place?
All these statements and promises do is wind-up the fans when it does happen, thus increasing the loathing that City fans have for them.
They state that they want to build a relationship with the fans. That would be a start but relationships are built on trust and quite frankly there is none between SISU and the fans.
We have a young squad, with a couple of more experienced players added then I think we could manage to stay in this division. The cost of relegation to Division one would vastly out weigh the cost of a couple of loans.
We recently gave new contracts to McPake and Bell. Yet as far as we know no offer has been made to Clingan. This seems daft even using SISU's blinkered logic
Firstly signing him up would be a good news story with the fans.
Secondly from a financial point of view he is a saleable asset. If he is under contract, like Turner, then if we have to sell him, we would get a larger fee for him. At present we could sell him for a small fee in January or for nothing in June.
He has played more games that either Bell or McPake and is a far more integral part of the team so it does seem strange that there has been no offer made or even mentioned.
Like I say it is time that SISU started to treat the fans with the respect and honesty that we deserve.

Interesting article but flawed because it is based on inaccurate beliefs.
Coventry fans can't handle the truth anyway.
"Talks with the Council" - that was a stupid statement from SISU
"Announcing MK was staying" - MK was staying until he received a better offer and betrayed Cov - Not SISU's fault at all
"Announcing a summer transfer budget as large as the previous season" - circumstances change, especially in this financial climate. SISU didn't lie, they just changed their minds

Fat Dave -
Marlon King didn't stay, they said he was, he was more than entitled to talk and agree deals elsewhere. Simply put, they lied to sell season tickets and merchandise. Is it there fault, yes.
Changing there mind about the transfer budget, again they lied. So it's not an innacurate article.
Inaccurate Rob and very flawed reasoning.
Marlon King said he was staying so SISU passed that onto the fans. That doesn't mean that King wasn't entitled to talk to other clubs. All it means was SISU were silly to trust a footballers word - so no lie there.
It isn't a lie if they changed their mind. Absolutely not. And a bit naive to suggest otherwise. I am going to buy a new car tomorrow oh no I have changed my mind. I havent lied -
i have changed my mind
The only real lie SISU told was about council talks.
In fact, that is pretty much the only lie I can think of
Dave are u a sky blue fan?coz by the sound of it you are further up sisu's butt than orange Ken. Sisu never had intentions of bringing in players, they did lie to make fans purchase season tickets and then male out as though they have changed there minds. Maybe if you were to busy deciding which pie to eat you would realise our beloved club is ruined and people like u and sisu should get stuffed.
its people like fat dave that hold our club back.
he is the stereotypical "fan" who is just happy to have a club. completely lacking any drive or ambition to at least have a club that reflect a city the population size of Cov .
Its probably the same reason why he got so fat. He is simply happy that he is still breathing but will never strive for anything, except ordering the largest pizza every evening.
Look what we have again - fans arguing over SISU. Quite honestly I can't see what there is to argue about. We shd be united in seeing SISU through the door. SISU in talks about buying ground - nope, a deliberate lie. Were they stupid enough to think we wouldn't find out?
SISU say keeping Marlon King - another lie. King couldn't have spoken to other clubs and left if he was committed to a contract. He wasn't. More excellent planning. I agree that the comment was made to boost ticket sales - I know of many who bought when they heard this news. SISU saved us from admin with another cash injection? Nope, that was an asset they sold. We will support AT in the loan market. Nope, not a thing. Spot a pattern here? Raise fans hopes - flatten fans hopes. What kind of owner does that to its fans. AT had a list of loanees he wanted - what's happened to that? Now even AT is sayingwe can't afford the names he wanted - so why was the whole thing spoken of so strongly in the first place. Please god AT isn't getting contaminated with SISU speak. Far too much "we were unlucky, that wasn't fair on us, results will come soon." IU'd prefer "we need the loans I was promised now as we're in big trouble already" Wouldn't it be great to have a 'truth-only' policy from now on? That way we all know where we stand and don't raise false hopes. PUSB
