Coventry City Football Club
THE title of this blog is of the club we love and support and although they have put us through lots of ups and downs for countless years we still carry on following them.
Why we stick with them is down to the individual fan we all probably have different reasons, myself it's down to loyalty and just wanting to be there through all that goes with it,and hoping that they come good very soon.
I've written before on this subject but I've brought it up again because reading blogs from fellow bloggers and listening to a fair few City fans,I get the the feeling that patience is wearing thin within the Sky Blue faithful.
Whenever I'm out and about in Coventry I nearly always end up talking about the football team and even though the season is still a few weeks away yet I get the vibes that there's not a lot of positivity coming from people interested in the Sky Blues.
I always try and defend the club when I have to but when your confronted by someone saying we've lost our two best players in Westwood and King, and now Gunnarsson looks like he's on his bike too it does get a bit tricky bigging up our chances.
Already we've had to put up with players moving on unrest in the boardroom and surprise at the choice of the pre season training destination, especially when we keep getting told we're skint.
But nothing shocks me much anymore with anything concerning Coventry City Football Club, just like when I was told my season ticket would be ready in June but it's still not ready yet, just like no new club shirts till mid July and not even any fixture list cards either !
Maybe these are just minor things but they seem to reflect badly on our beloved club don't they ? A wag in the pub said they owe so much money out I'll probably get my season ticket, shirt, and fixture list, sometime around the middle of the season and not July !
But it's all part and parcel of being a supporter I guess you just have to grit your teeth and laugh it off, but I just wish they could get it right not just on the pitch but off it as well.

I am personally exited about the up and coming season with the young lads especially Clarke and Thomas I think we will do alright. I'm not talking promotion or playlets but I think thorn will do a good job. I think we could do with a striker but we haven't got the funds, my only worry is if we get injuries then it's going to be a very long season.
It's good that your excited and optimistic about the clubs new season, that's how it should be for all of us fans. But like you I'm worried too if we get a lot of injuries, and we do seem to get more than most clubs don't we during a season ?
As yet we haven't made any outfield signings only bringing in two keepers, and yes we do need a striker and one or two other additions also. Most of the other Championship clubs have made signings and strengthening their squads, but as we've no money all we are doing is moving players on.But we keep the faith and hope Andy Thorn carries on where he left off from last season, playing attractive football and bringing the best out of what he's got and you can't ask for more than that can you ?
