SISU or not SISU that is the question
AFTER a huge week in Coventry City's history fans like me are left with their heads spinning trying to take it all in
As ever to make value judgments you need to have the full facts and that's never something the powers that be at Coventry City are good at providing
We are still short of the reasons why Ray Ranson has left the club.It could be that a statement from him could disrupt the desperate positive spin the current board are trying to create
For myself the Telegraph story which exposed the transfer embargo and suggested the club had creditors aplenty,took some getting used too
Now of course after the statement on Friday night its clear that SISU are prepared to fund at least the clearing of these current liabilities. That at least suggests administration has receded as a prospect
And we are further promised a search for increased investment and a new open style of communication. The details of this are still sketchy but are to be filled in this week
John Clarke's interview today is another attempt at SISU pr. He has been pushed forward as the last local man to get the fans on board. Some of the online fans comments seem less than positive however
It's not surprising that fans are cynical. But they are faced with a choice on whether they believe in a new changed SISU
This new approach shows that they are panicked by the fans response.
With suggested demonstrations on Saturday we all need to decide if we believe SISU are the right people to take this club forward
The details SISU provide in the next few days and a potential end of Ray Ranson's silence will be instructive
For myself I remain unconvinced by SISU's future commitment to the club and given an alternative would readily embrace it
Who knows whats out there .I've always been of the opinion someone like Gary Hoffman should have contacts in International finance for example
