Coventry City season starts with a question

It's been a tough time for CCFC fans. I had hoped a break in the tedium that nearly finished me off at the end of last season could be had from the World Cup, but alas no, We were awful but that's now ancient history.

With the new season opening tomorrow this hardened City fan is left asking how much more can I take. Is it going to be worth going up and risk seeing what we had to endure at the end of last season. Game after abject game.

As for the value for money, don't get me started. It'll cost the best part of £80 for me, the wife and kids to go up. Not cheap and with no guarantee of decent fare. As my wife put it, we could have a day out at a theme park for that and know we will have fun. I hate to admit it, but she's right.

So what does a Sky Blue fan do. I'm pleased with how Aidy Boothroyd has gone about business since coming but I'm not inspired to put my hand deep into my pocket. We seem light up front, again. I'm hoping the influence of Carsley in the midfield will be as inspiring as Dennis Wise was.

Should I stay (at home) or should I go now. That is the question.

I understand your predicament, Richard.

I can't get to the game tomorrow, and, ironically, on Sunday I'll be going to a theme park.

Ask me on Monday which one I think would have been best entertainment value!!!

Keep up to date
