Watching Coventry City and England
FOLLOWING on from Sky Blue Kev's blog, I've always been of the mind that watching England isn't a lot different from viewing the Sky blues.
They both build up your hopes call it hype if you like, then just when you think something good is about to happen BANG they deflate you big style.
But I didn't get carried away this tournament, I kept calm throughout all the games because I honestly didn't fancy England's chances really, but I was shocked at the poor performances by the team, they dished up stuff that wouldn't have looked out of place in the Championship.
Talking to fellow Sky blue fans in the pub after the Germany game, we all had an attitude of acceptance we weren't too downbeat, I think that's down to being long suffering Cov City fans we are so used to feeling low.
You look at supporters of Chelsea and Man United, when they lose a couple of games it is a crisis, but us City fans see that as the norm, and could that now become the mind set of the England followers ?
I'm not saying that's right because every supporter albeit for club or country want to see a winning team, but after a while you can become accustomed to mediocrity
Myself I'll always put my club before my country because Coventry City are number one for me and always will be, and could that explain in some way the poor showing from the England players in South Africa, do they only truly get motivated when they are wearing their club colours and not those of The Three Lions ?

after a tnrmpiug at St. James’s by United ” It’s only 3 points no matter how many goals you score” . So, City enjoy your victory and I do hope that you have wasted 4 goals this afternoon.
