You need staying power when you follow Coventry City

I HEAR that Chris Coleman doesn't read the blogs by the Sky Blues fans, although the players do.

That's a shame because if he did he could guage the mood of the City fans, and to be honest they aren't a happy lot.

But he isn't stupid because he knows a lot want a change of manager, so therefore why go onto the sites to read what he already knows ?

Talking in the pub after the Preston match, the main topic of conversation was about the managers position and the reaction was a mixed one, while some want Coleman to go others said he needs more time.

But Coleman is talking like he's confident of keeping his job as manager of Coventry City, asking the chairman how much money will he be getting to buy players for the next campaign ?

As for this season it's been a strange one up and down like a seesaw, our form was that poor at one stage we looked like relegation material, and then out of the blue we went on a decent run.

But that's what you get when you support the Sky Blues inconsistency, you just know that's it's never going to be plain sailing and this season has reinforced this even more.

Are you renewing your season ticket I have been asked recently ? When I reply yes I probably will, I get that look of sheer disbelief as if I've lost my marbles.

But as my fellow bloggers have said on this matter you keep on following the City because I guess it's part of your D.N.A.You love your club even though they do half put you through it season after season.

As for the managerial debate i'll leave that up to Mr Ranson, if he sticks with Coleman or if he gets someone new in we as fans will just have to go along with his decision, like it or not, that's the reality of being a fan of any football club you just have to try and stay faithful even when you feel like throwing the towel in !

I know where Kevin's coming from on the season ticket renewal. Having bieng made redundant since I bought the last one paying even more will be a hardship
It's not even as If the team have showed me anything to deserve renewal. But in the end I wonder if i will do it. I don't know about DNA I think it's just an addiction and its too difficult to go cold turkey
Ironically the only way to protest about the club is to take away what is your fortnightly fix. Is there anyway I can lose this addiction ?

I hope you don't lose your addiction Kev,the club needs you. I've talked to other City fans about why we keep going season after season, and we all came to the same conclusion, we are addicted.
It's not just the football, it's the crack in the pubs before and after the games, the banter at away games, the whole experience of being a football fan.I've been a City fan since the Jimmy Hill era, so there's been lots of ups and downs, but I'm still there ! So keep the faith Kev,we'll get there eventually !

Was this written by an 8 year old? We will always languish in football's murky shadows until we shed ourselves of such simplistic thought patterns. Group think is a very real phenominon and should we expand our knowing, and compound a positive mental agenda, we will ride wild horses beoynd the horizon and onto Elysium where will shall feast like sultans. Know surely, O skyblue man, that your form is dual, balanced in polarity while formed in its form. Know that when fast on you Death approaches, it is only because your balance is shaken.
It is only because one pole has been lost.

While we swim in a sea of ignorance, the tides of confusion will ever keep us seething and confused. All has changed but we.
