Chris Coleman should resign
COLEMAN should go.
I have supported him to do the right thing for our Club but enough now.
Every Manager has a shelf life and bar a few notable exceptions many start getting judged once they pass the hundred game mark.
Lack of pace and width are obvious pointers as to why we cannot get behind the opposition and so score more goals than they - but I also accept that our financial plight dictates that our squad has to be recruited from around our league or the divisions below.
Therefore our pool of players will carry some degree of risk and uncertainty.
However, any decent Manager in any industry knows that if he wants to get the best out of his team he has to instill a winning mentality.
Building an unshakeable belief in yourself and your team means continually provoking positive feelings and emotions to generate the desire to do well - in turn the body releases endorphins and positive behaviours take place.
In this case on the pitch.
The Sky Blues heady run of good form did not yield great football but was fuelling itself on an emotional tide as positive results built confidence. Enthusiasm being infectious it spread amongst the team and they were away.
Coleman and Harrison capitalised on this good spell by making sure we did "not get carried away " and took "one game at a time" and made sure that the media knew it.
Coventry City enter ten years in this league next season - only one other team is challenging us for another unenviable record so I think it would have been okay to the fans if the Manager and his number two had seized the opportunity to enthuse a little more when things were going well.
A bit of passion - it is clearly too much to ask.
The Cardiff game put paid to that little spell and Coleman should be measured on how his players have responded since.
They haven't and that is Coleman's responsibility.
I hope he is learning from his mistakes but I also want that to now be some other Club's problem.
Moving on the Manager is not an easy decision and timing is critical - get it wrong and you will never know "what if" (Eric Black). Suffer fools gladly and you can end up paying the ultimate price (Gordon Strachan)
Coleman has a thirty percent win ratio during his time at the Club and asked to be judged at the end of this season. Admittedly I am a few games early but I would like to thank Mr Coleman and Mr Harrison for their efforts and wish them all the best for their future somewhere else.
Ray Ranson needs to make the decision for the good of the Club - negotiate a palatable
financial settlement and allow us to move on without egos getting in the way.
This one did not quite work out and his next appointment may well shape his future with Coventry City.
A clearly articulated roadmap for Coventry City's future would also be a bonus.
Season ticket renewed I am off to the Preston game.

yes indeed. If you read Nigell eccles comment in the Observer yesterday , that was spot on. A change needs to happen now, it is a must that we cahllenge and at least make the play-offs next year , and this is the minimum we deserve as such long suffering fans....and don't tell me i have to be graetful to SISU , the time has passed on that now , they have had the time to turn their investemnt into something.I will be renewing my season ticket , but this is the last time, if there is no cahnge then i will be pick and choose fan. saturady's match was , even by recent standards , truly appalling in every respect. The only playes I can absent from criticism is westwood. The rest can pass , can't tackle , can't run off the ball ( a skill that seems to escaped all the team all year )and many seem more interested in wine bars than goals. Shape up City or ship out !
Thommo Should Resign
Thommo should go.
A decent article was clearly too much to ask.
Nonsense. let's look at another set of stats. Number of managers since we went down;
Roland Nilsson (2001-2002)
Trevor Peake (caretaker) (2002)
Gary McAllister (2002-2003)
Eric Black (2003-2004)
Steve Ogrizovic (caretaker) (2004)
Peter Reid (2004-2005)
Adrian Heath (caretaker) (2005)
Micky Adams (2005-2007)
Adrian Heath (caretaker) (2007)
Iain Dowie (2007-2008)
John Harbin & Frankie Bunn (caretakers) (2008)
Chris Coleman (2008-present)
Seems to me changing managers has got us nowhere. Let's stick behind Coleman for one more season, so he can put the "iceing on the cake", rather than have another manager come in and change things AGAIN. THEN if nothing has changed articles like this will have my full support. After all your stat about being one of only 2 teams approaching 10 years in the league needs to also consider teams that have gone down, as well as up - so there is a silver lining to that stat.
Oh and skybluemott - while i'm sure SISU aren't after your gratitude now anymore than you want to give it to them lets still not forget that without them we would be having these conversations in league 1.
