Marcus Hall, still the best left back at the club
I read that Marcus Hall will find out this week if City are to offer him a new contract or not.
I hope they do offer him a new one year deal, as in my opinion, he is still a good left back at this level. With Chris Hussey, in Chris Coleman's opinion not ready, City need an experienced left back.
If it was any other player than Marcus, I am not sure if they would offer him a contract. Having only played 6 first team games this season so far, his number appearances and injury record is not great.
We all know that he missed some games due to the sad death of his father. And we hope that is taken into consideration by Messer Ransom and Coleman.
We have however seen with David Mc Namee and Leon McKenzie, City don't like to keep players who have missed so many games through injury. With the budgets tight and a small squad size, you do have to worry for his contract chances.
Martin Cranie has done an excellent job as an emergency left back but being predominately right footed, he does look a bit uncomfortable at times in this unfamiliar role.
Let's hope they City can reach a deal with Marcus as he is still our best left back as well as being a great ambassador for the club.

Personally I'd like to see Hussey given a go at left-back if Crainie were ever to be absent. Although Hall played well at the weekend I have my doubts as to whether he's able to consistently perform at this level.
AKAIK you've got the asnwer in one!
