Coleman not to blame...

Chris Coleman is not to blame for the recent in-different performances by the players, the players are...

Coleman has had critics this season but the recent performances by the players have been erratic to say the least. Why do they have to concede before starting to play?

When Coleman sends the team out, he expects them to perform and even if an individual is not having a good game, they can at least do the basics like closing down, tracking back and tackling.

Fans can forgive a bad pass or losing the ball providing that players is trying but on Saturday we saw some city players just giving up when they lost the ball, not a pretty sight.

On Saturday he picked an attacking team with Sears, Eastwood, Stead and Baker all starting. The fact it didn't work was more down to the performance of the players than the formation.

The Boo's that rang around the Ricoh at half time was the only way the fans could vent their frustration at how unacceptable the performance was. I am sure Chris Coleman felt the same.

At half-time he made three substitutions, something I can't recall him ever doing and it improved. Sears can count himself lucky that you can only make three substitutions as he looked totally out of his depth.

The only players to emerge with credit were Woods, McPake, Baker and Westwood who again showed why he is the best keeper outside the Premiership.

Lets hope a few days off will make all the difference and we can get back to winning ways and a better performance for the full 90 minutes against Derby.
