Can Chris Coleman rally his troops for the remaining matches ?

WHAT a difference a few weeks can make in the world of football.

Take a look at the Sky Blues for example, we were looking at a possible play off position, now all the talk is about tiredness, and can Chris Coleman get his players up to perform over ninety odd minutes ?

But on the evidence of the first half at Leicester, and again against Sheffield Wednesday, he looks like he will need all his managerial skills to get the players up for the fight.

I've been impressed at the turn around of late, we have shown lots of grit, and determination, not to mention some quality football mixed in there, I've been proud of Coventry City Football club.

But after watching the insipid and listless performance in the first half on Saturday, I thought to myself, I hope the players aren't losing interest, now that their play off aspirations have all but gone ?

Because us fans want a good end to this season, in fact we "need " one, it then can enable us to look forward to the next campaign with confidence, and with a positive outlook, not one of, here we go again.

The players should go into this Saturday's game against Derby County, nice and fresh, seeing they haven't had a midweek game.

Derby, as we all know are a well supported team, so they will bring a large following to the Ricoh, so that should add to the atmosphere.

I'd hate our season to just fizzle out, the players owe it to themselves to give it their all, and if they do that, I can guarantee, us fans will cheer them off the pitch at the end of the remaining matches, come win, lose, or draw.

Keep up to date
