The ups and downs of a City fan
SUPPORTING Coventry City can be a bit like a rollercoaster. You can be low one minute, and super high the next.
We're certainly on a high at the moment. And why not the cynic in me thought the two home wins in a week would be followed by two away defeats.
Newcastle may have ended up as expected but a lot of spirit was shown in the first half. The win against Palace was one of our better away performances this season.
Ive been talking about our poor away performances this season. An improvement in those is the best way of ensuring a top half finish
Our current tenth position is based on the fact we've played more games than most of our rivals.Talk of the play offs seems over optimistic for the same reason..
Only a string of wins can keep us in this advanced position. The away game at Leicester will tell us whether this is a new Coventry City with substance.
In the standard football cliche we must "take each game as it comes". And the next home game is a timely reminder of a season low
The away defeat at Scunthorpe was as a result of a desperate performance. I hope the players show a determination to win the game on Saturday to compensate for that low that will still be an unhappy memory for some
