Play Off's - We're dreaming !

Chris Coleman said this week he's a dreamer and that he wouldn't rule out a late push and there's nothing wrong with that.

Reach for the stars I say, the power of self belief can take you a long way.

The problem is I don't think our players actually do believe in themselves. As I've said before they lack a winning mentality. We should now be looking forward to a FA Cup 4th round tie against Sunderland and be a point better off in the league.

Instead we're looking at a blank Saturday this week and another defeat to get out of our system when we resume against Swansea on Tuesday week.

How many times are we going to switch off just before half time, full time and into injury time? Thinking the job is done when really what we should be doing is ensuring that the game is won.

Coleman has signed some good players, the latest acquisitions Baker and Deegan looking like positive purchases and on paper our first choice 11 looks like it can give anybody a game but we just don't look like winners. Certainly not on a regular basis.
Too many silly goals conceded at critical times in the game. Too many players not prepared to take the game by the scruff of its neck. Not enough leaders!

We don't look like a team who are going to compete against the better teams in this division. We certainly don't look like a team destined for the Premier League anytime soon.

Unlike many whose views I heard on the BBC phone in on Saturday after the ludicrous defeat at Ipswich, I'm still with Chris Coleman but almost 2 years into his reign he needs to start turning good players into a good team. A winning team.

The team sheet might look better but it'll ultimately be the league table upon which he's judged.
