Three wins from four, not too bad

LOSING at Forest, after winning three on the trot, is a lot better than the run we were on, so we shouldn't be too down in the dumps.

Okay, we only beat the two bottom teams before the Doncaster win, but this is the type of fixture where you can come unstuck, but the City treated them both with respect, and won through.

But we are still a long way off from being a top six team I feel, we are still far too lightweight in midfield for a start, plus we keep on making schoolboy errors, and we are just not ruthless enough upfront, spurning chances to kill off teams, when we are on top.

But the squad of players we've got, "should" be able to keep us in this division, but obviously that will be weakened soon, with players leaving, but whoever comes in to replace the departed, will have to settle in, and do a job for the City.

Staying in the Championship, and aiming for a respectable position come the end of the season, is obviously the main priority for the club, but it would be great if we had a good Cup run.

It lifts the spirits of the players, and the fans, and although Portsmouth will be favourites to win through, even though they are propping up the premiership, that should suit the City, underdogs, and the unfancied, always do well if they're not expected to win.

So a Happy New Year to all you Sky Blue faithful, keep positive, keep believing, and we'll get there eventually. (Quick nurse, get him his medication!)
