If players leave, we must attract quality
IT WAS a good battling performance at Q.P.R. who as Chris Coleman said, are one of the better teams in the Championship.
I never went to the game, instead listened to it on the radio, and it sounded a cracking match, full of end to end play, with chances falling to both sides.
But Q.P.R. passed the ball about at pace, and cut through our midfield with ease at times, which is a bit of a worry, although Clingan should return soon, because we need a more experienced player in there, because it's far too lightweight I feel.
But my biggest worry, is the upcoming transfer window, and talk is rife over Best, and Westwood leaving, and to lose two quality players like them, raises the anxiety levels again.
Leon scored again on Saturday, and Westwood made some excellent saves, to once again keep us in a game, just to further reinforce how important he, and Best are to the Sky Blues.
So the club, if they really are building for the future, need to do all they can to keep hold of these two, but if they do depart, they must attract quality replacements, like for like, and not just raid the lower leagues, because that wil not appease the supporters.
Because we've seen the reaction to the sales of Fox, and Dann, one of the main reasons why attendances are down I feel, and to lose two more of our better players, could make things even worse.
So the January transfer window could turn out to be a massive month for Coventry City Football Club, I'm feeling jittery already.
