Chris Coleman - Judgement day beckons...
WITH the injury crisis starting to ease, Wright, Hall, Westwood and Clingan due back in the next couple of weeks and Bell starting to get match fit. It will soon be time to make a judgement on Chris Coleman.
With his 2nd anniversary due in February, are we in a better position now than we were when Ian Dowie was sacked?
It takes time to make a judgement on a manager, two years is a good point to start. It is certainly longer than some recent city managers have had.
The playing squad has been transformed and very few in the current squad have been inherited from previous managers. Only six remain Hall, Osbourne, Turner, Konstantopoulos, Ward and Best with the latter two likely to be on their way soon and the others not necessarily 1st choice when the squad is fit.
With the main issue this season being the soft centre in the middle of the defence, Coleman has acted slowly to address the situation, why we don't know. With Barnett in on loan and Richard Wood on board, the central defence frailties should hopefully be shored up.
Add these new players to a fit Coleman assembled squad and i think we have the best squad we have had since our second season in the Championship.
So Chris, judgement day beckons...
