COVENTRY CITY bosses are offering kids entry for £1 for the Southampton game - to help fans in the midst of the global credit crunch.

The Sky Blues are offering the 'kids for a quid' deal to any fans aged 15 or under for the Saturday evening game.

Club chairman Ray Ranson told the club's official website: "We understand that times are tough economically and our fans are like everybody else in the country.

"I think since we took over the club we have shown time and time again that we want to offer supporters the very best value for money and that is something we will continue to do.

"It's up to us to ensure that children locally want to come to the Ricoh and follow the Sky Blues.

"We understand that we can help by making a trip to see the team play as cost effective for families as possible.

"I hope to see lots of our young supporters taking advantage of this offer to help cheer us onto victory in what is another very important Championship game."

The Championship game at the Ricoh Arena will kick-off at 5.20pm.
