Penalty miss cost Sky Blues, says Chris Coleman
ELLIOTT WARD'S penalty miss cost Coventry City a much-needed victory in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United, according to Chris Coleman.
With Sheffield United down to 10-men and the Sky Blues winning 1-0, the Sky Blues centre-back missed a spot kick to virtually seal the game.
Billy Sharp equalised for the Blades only minutes after Ward's miss.
Coleman told Teletext: "For 45 minutes we were outstanding and we deserved to be 1-0 up.
"Then we missed the penalty and for five minutes felt sorry for ourselves.
"There should have been no contest."
