Owls upset with Coventry City transfer tactics

HHMMM.

It seems that Coventry City's pursuit of Owls' captain Richard Wood has upset Sheffield Wednesday a tad.

The Sky Blues tracked the defender throughout the summer and made a late £1million plus bid to take Wood to the Ricoh just before the transfer deadline closed.

And the Wednesday hierachy are fuming, apparently.

The Sheffield Telegraph reports that there is "much displeasure in the Hillsborough hierarchy about Coventry's tactics" in the battle for Wood's signature.

The world of football transfers are becoming murkier by the window.

I have no idea if Coventry "serenaded" Wood as the Wednesday board seem so certain about. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.

It's happened to the Sky Blues. Birmingham City's pursuit of Gary McSheffrey several years ago seemed to be never-ending.

And it comes from the very top.

Dimitar Berbatov had a medical with Manchester United before they'd even agreed a fee with Tottenham for his transfer.

Yet the FA did nothing. The rule-book seems to have gone out of the window as far as transfers are concerned at the moment.

Its just the way things are, Im afraid.
Its been going on for Years and won't stop anytime soon.
All clubs do it though so when people do complain, it stinks. Look at the Ronaldo saga for instance.
